Who am I……..a Brahmin, a Vaishya, a Khsatriya, or a Shudra?

caste system 01 7RliX 16298

This is dedicated to all the educated fools who feel proud of their castes………

I would like to draw out some facts about Casteism…how it evolved and how does it classify. It is drawn from Bhagvad Gita, wherein, Lord Sri Krishna gives gyan to Arjun. According to Bhagvad Gita, there are four “Varnas”: the Brahmins (teachers, scholars and priests), the Kshatriyas (kings and warriors), the Vaishyas (agriculturists and traders), and the Shudras (service providers and artisans) . It is also related with the human body, where sections of the body are attributed to different Castes. It is divided into four parts:
1)Head: Brahmin.
2)Shoulder, Hands: Kshatriya.
3)Stomach: Vaishya.
4)Stomach to toes: Shudra.

It also says that, every person takes birth from the bottom part of the body and is considered a Shudra, but becomes a Kshatriya or a Vaishya or a Brahmin depending on the work he does. If he learns to fight he becomes a Kshatriya, if he learns to do trade he becomes a Vaishya and so on…But our so called Indian society has redefined it. Using the concept of genes it has stated that, a Brahmins’ son will be educated and intelligent so he will be a Brahmin by default and similarly a Shudras’ son will be a Shudra. People have forgotten that with proper education any one can become any caste.
And even now, we educated Indians still follow it as stupidly as our ancestors and we blame the Bhagvad gita for this customs.
There’s a thoughtful question which keeps provoking me daily………

“ Are many of us Shudras’ ? ”Think again!”

In the present scenario many of the us are working for a company,or a individual. So as per the Mythology…the person who is a service provider is a Shudra. Think…..all the people working in so called Infy, TCS, TCS or any small or big company and who boast of working there …….are actually Shudras i.e .SCs’ / STs’ , that is what the Mythology says..We are good followers of Hinduism right…so this is true. All those people like the farmers, whom many of us really look down upon, are Vaishyas and they belong to a higher caste than us. People in the borders of country, the policemen who protect us belong to Kshatriyas…But we never think this way right.
Many of us are proud of our Surnames, which tells which caste you belong to…… this has to stop …May not be possible in a day or two but slowly in years to come….
Just think before you answer ………………… WHO ARE YOU? …and think before u ask ..WHAT IS YOUR CASTE?…and think before you belittle someone….
