2. 2 tablespoons of vegetable or olive oil

3. 3 tablespoons of white vinegar

Instructions:

1. Clean the mushrooms

Wash the mushrooms properly and dry them before using. Check for worms or any other dirt particles.

2. Cut them into small pieces

Remove the stems of the mushrooms and cut them into ½ inch pieces. You can also cut the mushrooms into halves if you like larger chunks. If you want the stems, you can also slice the mushrooms into several pieces vertically.

3. Marinate the mushrooms

Put all the cut mushrooms into a large bowl and mix them with few drops of oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and herbs. Make sure that all the mushrooms are properly marinated with the herb and oil mixture. Leave them for about 15 minutes.

4. Sauté the onions and garlic in the frying pan

Take a frying pan and over low heat, put oil and then put the chopped garlic and onions. Sauté those till the onions turn translucent.

5. Add the marinated mushrooms to the pan

Now put the marinated mushrooms into the frying pan and sauté them till the mushrooms release their juice. You may also cover the lid of the pan and leave it for about 5 minutes on low heat. Then, you can sauté again till the mushrooms are soft and the juice thickens.

6. Add the parmesan cheese

To this, add parmesan cheese and cook till it melts. This may take about 1-2 minutes depending upon the heat. Serve hot.
