New Technology claims replacing Trans Fats with Berries in baked foods

simsJ.O. Sims, U.K. based importer and distributor of 100% natural fruit ingredients, is reported to invest in a new technology, which would slip in berries into baked foods. J.O. Sims claims that this new technology is targeted to lift the baked foods from the indulgent innovations to healthier advances. Facts provide that this technology would customize solutions for different manufacturers by helping overcoming technical difficulties while adding fruits to the baked goods.

Firm’s general manager for ingredients Douglas Mackay states:

These investments will allow us increased scope to satisfy our customers’ demand to add value by including fruit in their products. Consumer interest in healthier alternatives to traditional, high fat products continues to rise and we are keen to offer expert technical and formulation advice in addition to our extensive range of fruit ingredients.

As the demand for antioxidant rich foods is on the rise, the baked good manufacturers can raise their sales by sticking to new technique. It can be challenging enough to offer stability and sensory properties to baked foods without fats.

However, we can just wait for the new technology to bring a breakthrough in baked foods, where it would require replacing Trans fats with berries and yet give the same texture and taste.
