Sauces served as festive foods

Festive foods offer a great deal of variety as far as sauces are concerned. Well, the best thing I can share about sauces revolve around sauces that serve as side-dish. Do not be surprised there are many sauces that can be served as a side-dish with meats, pilaf, vegetables and even with stews. A sauce close to my heart is Crushed Papaya and Dates Sauce.

Ingredients
Grated Papaya
Seeded and chopped Dates
Brown sugar
Cinnamon Powder
Chili Powder
Salt

Method

1. Saute papaya, with all the spices and salt.
2. Add brown sugar and cook for some more time.
3. Cook until papaya sticks together with the sugar and the consistency becomes gooey.
4. Garnish it with chopped dates.

you can make tomato sauce, carrot sauce and even hot and sour chili sauce in a similar fashion.
