How to Cook Mushrooms

Instructions:

1. Wipe your mushrooms before using

Often in the market you will get both chopped and whole mushroom. You can use any one of the two based on your needs and taste. In this recipe you can use both, chopped or whole mushroom. Mushroom contains lots of mud as it is sold just after plucking. Use soft brush or cloth to wipe your mushroom. Scrub the dirt available on your mushroom. You can use soft wet cloth for cleaning mushrooms. Never wash mushroom with water as your dish might turn mushy. Chop the mushroom after cleaning and spread this into a plate and keep for some time.

2. Heat your pan before cooking

Take a shallow frying pan and switch on your stove. Heat your pan and add butter or oil to it. It is good if you use oil as butter contains high cholesterol and most of you avoid consuming butter. But the fact is butter adds great flavor and taste to this dish. Once in a while, you can try this with butter.

3. Start cooking mushroom

When the oil in the pan is heated, low down the stove regulator and add chopped garlic and chopped green chilies to the shallow frying pan. Fry it in a low flame. Now, add chopped or whole mushroom to the pan and mix it with a wooden spoon. Add freshly crushed pepper and salt to it and cover the pan with a lid and keep it in low flame.

4. Garnish mushroom with cilantro and lemon juice

When you will cover the mushroom with lid, the mushroom will leave some water and it will get well cooked in that. When the water disappears and the mushrooms start getting separated from oil, add little more crushed pepper, chopped cilantro and some lemon juice on the top of the cooked mushroom. While serving, add little butter on the top and serve hot.
