The Shiv Sena is indeed a closely guarded family affair. Now Aaditya Thackeray, the son of Shiv Sena head Udhaav Thackeray, turns 24 on the coming Friday. The youngest scion has taken to Twitter stating to followers, supporters and fans, “Please do not put up any illegal hoardings or banners anywhere.” He added, “My appeal to all Yuva Sainiks and Well Wishers against birthday banners n distribution of food.”
Rahul R, a Twitter follower tweets, “May Aditya wants to his Uncle Raj Thackeray as CM as Bhatija is always close to Chachas.” Ragesh Nair tweets, “A sane voice amidst an insane family.” This reflects te mentality that Shiv Sena’s public image is in for toss with the mindset in Maharashtra changing.
Pratik Prasenjit reflects this angst against the Shiv Sena, “And pls don’t torch buses like they r birthday candles RT @sameeratweeter @AUThackeray My appeal to all Yuva Sainiks.”
However, the loyalist camp is still strong and there are many who have lauded such a plea. Edathody BHASKARAN @AUThackeray tweets, “ Wish u a Happy Birthday. Regarding ur note, it is so nice & in brief, “WE WELCOME YOUR PRESENCE WITHOUT ANY PRESENTS” :)”
