Authentic taco is oft reported to be restricted to the Westerners and a constant hankering when the Easterners move back from Mexico to the Atlantic Seaboard. An article in the New York Times points out the fact that burritos, fajitas, enchiladas and the ultimate taco has the difference of ingredients, the quality of ingredients and their freshness. The most traditional can be corn totillas and turkey to fish, chicken, pork and beef

The authenticity depends on how you make the tortilla shells from the tamale base, which is so easy that you do not have to run to Mexico to get a fresh bag of it. The point of getting authentic taco is clarified to the taco fans as being the most pliable and easy appetizer to make. Once you have the corn tortillas done, you just have to be simple and creative.

The whole job lies in adding right dose of crunchiness, moistness, tanginess and brightness with roasted chicken, grilled meat, a salsa rub, shredded lettuce and some cheese. Though there are a varieties of filling that can go into the tortilla shells the whole purpose here is to give the consumers the ‘right taste’ of taco and all that goes into the taco to make it taste ‘right’.
