There are a couple of drinks that the bartenders are always reluctant to make as they consume quite a lot of time and some of them are really messy to make. The drinks include Lemon Drop, The Manhattan, The Cosmopolitan and The Mojito. The problem with most of the bartenders in making these drinks is that these drinks are time-consuming, messy, and elaborate and the demands of the people to have a perfect and high profile glass from a simple shake, while different cocktail lovers love to have these drinks differently made.
Bartender Noah Esperas of le Duplex in San Francisco says for the Mojito:
Go to a restaurant if you want a real Mojito. Honestly, if I am slammed at 1 a.m. and someone asks for four Mojitos, I won’t make them. If it costs $9 for a Mojito and $8 for a Grey Goose (vodka), the bar isn’t losing much and I can make up for it in tips with the other people by saving time.
