Darjeeling

Auli

Biling

Surrounded by the mountains, Biling is a small meadow on the Dhauladhar Ranges of the Himalayas. Biling is situated roughly between Mandi and Dharamshala. This place, with its beautiful scenic beauty, is also a perfect launching destination for the hang- and paragliders.

This place is one of the ideal locations for paragliding. The place offers “up and down” and “cross country” flying for about 200 km. There is about a kilometer fall from the meadow and an average top to bottom flight can last for about 20 to 30 minutes.

Gulmarg

Gulmarg, located in Kashmir, has one of the highest cable cars. It can be reached from Srinagar by prepaid taxis. The nearest airport is Srinagar. The Gondola (cable car) is the main attraction of this place. With snow covered mountains and coniferous trees, the view from the cable car is breathtaking.

Besides the cable car, adventure lovers can enjoy skiing at this place. Skiing facility is provided at two places, the high mountain areas near the Gondola and a beginner’s area near the Gulmarg golf course.

Leh

Leh is situated in the Indus River valley in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Though it is a small place, there are many places for you to visit like Palace of the King of Ladakh, Buddhist temples, a small mosque, Shanti Stupa, monasteries, etc.

Zanskar
