Cadbury opens $40mn chewing gum research centre in New Jersey

dentineCadbury has expanded its existing line of gum-based confectionary products including Trident®, Dentyne®, Certs® Bubblicious® and Halls®,by establishing a $40mn chewing gum research centre in New Jersey, which will look into the creation and the testing of new chewing gums. This research centre based on 148,000 square foot is planning to employ 150 people for this purpose to strengthen company’s research in the domain of confectionaries.

Cadbury reports that a single piece of chewing is made out of 70 ingredients. The investment will have to match up with Cadbury’s target to enter the global chewing gum business and to influence America’s Confectionary region.
