Cairo Arab Media festival

The Cairo Arab Media Festival, in which 642 audiovisual productions from 17 Arab countries took part, aims at improving the standard of radio and television production throughout the Arab world. Some 30 Moroccan TV and radio productions took part in the 15th Cairo Arab Media Festival 7 of them won prizes.
In the competition dedicated to the best TV production, SNRT won the Gold Prize for the production Lalla Laaroussa. In TV dramas, the prize of the best director went to Mohamed Ali Majboud for ‘Saâ fi Al Jahim’ (One hour in hell).The best photography prize was won by Hassan Boufous for his documentary Amoudou, notably for the episode Oum Al Makhazine. The best décor prize went to the comedy series Joha ya Joha, which also won the prize of the best supporting actress, attributed to Donia Boutazout. In TV dramas, the Silver prize was won by SNRT for the series Dar Al Warata. Regarding radio, Morocco’s national radio won the Silver prize for the program Tahariat (investigations).
