The Real tech news reports about the growing trend of self-serve kiosks, where the customer just has to choose the food he wants to order, pay it through his card and show the slip in the counter to receive his order. These self-service kiosks are tested by all the major food chains and it can cut down the cost of manual labor but the major food chains also have to determine the risk they would incur if one of the kiosk stops working.
The possibilities of a failure of the system may be rare but that does not mean that self service kiosk can replace high-end hospitality in restaurants and hotels…are we thinking it would replace the service provided by well-mannered waiters and waitresses.
