barleyCargill Company is dedicated towards providing food solutions by collaborating with food service, distributor and retailers to provide customer benefits. As per reports the Company will exhibit health ingredients in the Vitafoods International Event, which will take place from May 9-11, 2006. The ingredients comprise of CoroWise Naturally-Sourced Cholesterol Reducer brand of plant sterols for heart health, and Prolisse soy protein isolate for general wellness and heart health, Barliv barley beta glucan, a product in development with cholesterol reduction benefits. There are other ingredients for joint and heart health that will be displayed by Cargill in Vitafoods show.

As per David Henstrom, General Manager Europe, and Cargill Health & Food Technologies: Cargill is dedicated to improving health and nutrition globally, and one key avenue for this is through consumer-relevant, great tasting nutraceuticals and functional foods. Products being featured include two of Cargill’s leading nutraceutical/functional food ingredients:

CoroWise Naturally-Sourced Cholesterol Reducer brand of plant sterols for heart health and Prolisse soy protein isolate for general wellness and heart health. Barliv barley beta glucan, a product in development with cholesterol reduction benefits, also will be featured.

Cargill Foods is displaying the nutraceutical and functional food ingredients in the right place and it is good if the culinary industry recognizes the right substitutes for its health products to increase in functionality.
