Cauliflower and Prawn Curry

Indian curries give you a jolt of spice. Well they are meant to, as spices are good for health and Indian curries are what make them different from other curries. Today’s curry with cauliflower and prawns make a delightful commencement to a chilly Indian night’s dinner. The recipe is as follows:

Ingredients

Cauliflower florets
Shelled Prawns
Chopped Onions
Slitted Green Chilies
Freshly Chopped Cilantro
Ginger-garlic Paste
Red chili paste
Poppy Seeds and Cashew nut Paste
Allspice Powder
Turmeric Powder
Chopped Tomatoes
Dry Mango Powder
Cumin Powder
Mustard Oil
Salt

Method

1. Fry onions until brown.

2. Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili paste, cilantro leaves and cook all the pastes for sometime.

3. Add poppy seeds and cashew nut paste, cumin powder and chopped tomatoes. Cook for 15 minutes stirring continuously.

4. Add Cauliflower and prawns into it and cook covered until the cauliflowers are tender.

5. Add water, salt, allspice and dry mango powder. Stir well and simmer for 10 minutes.

6. Serve with rice or flat bread.
