John Drew Barrymore

He debuted as John Barrymore Jr. after the famous actor and his father John Barrymore, at the age of 18. Later he changed his name to John Drew Barrymore, and acted in a couple of low budget movies and featured a guest appearance in many television series. John Barrymore Jr. belonged to a family of seasoned actors, and was compared to his father and grandfather throughout his life.
He couldn’t make it big, got addicted to alcohol and was even jailed for using drugs and public drinking. His fourth child and famous actress Drew Barrymore brought him near her home and cared for him in his last days. John died of cancer in 2004.

As he was the only white amongst his African American friends they nicknamed him ‘Vanilla’ and later ‘Ice’ was jammed with the ‘Vanilla’ because of the break dance move he performed-‘The Ice’. Ice has had a lot of legal issues after 2005 and was arrested for burglary in Florida. It has been reported that he stole furniture and other stuff from a house.

One of the most famous and controversial boxing legends Mike Tyson became bankrupt in 2003. Mike had spent the hundreds of Millions of dollars, which he accumulated from the famous boxing events he had won, super- lavishly. Once the owner of several luxury cars and mansions, was in $27 Million debt when he filed bankruptcy.

Nobody could imagine the fate of an Academy award-winning actor could be so dreaded. Bobby Driscoll won the Academy award for his juvenile role in 1950. He became a drug addict and died of drug overdose at the age of 31. It is said that he was unable to continue on the silver screen because of acne and hence developed a habit of drugs and died a pauper.
Most of the celebs are so used to the riches that they are unable to cope with poverty and end up taking drugs or alcohol. While some of them had had a comeback, others lost it completely.
