mango 1Followed by the Canadian regulatory approval, Ocean Nutrition Canada has turned to China’s first drinkable yogurt smudging it with their MEG-3. The food application is reported to have been introduced by the Canton American Flower Lounge Livestock Company Limited (CAFL), a subsidiary of Lark International Dairy Holdings, at a press conference in Guangzhou on May 18 in China.

This food application is sure to benefits the Chinese consumers as it will provide them with the benefits of EPA and DHA from the fish oil without the smell of fish, as the oil is introduced into the yogurt through the process of patented micro-encapsulation technology called Powder-loc. Dr. Stephen Lui, Director and General Manager of Lark Dairy Holdings Limited, said:

By using the MEG-3® ingredient in OMU drinkable yogurt, we were able to include the nutritional value of Omega-3 EPA and DHA while maintaining its great taste.

Undoubtedly, China’s first drinkable yogurt will be promoted globally due to the presence of MEG-3 and the great demand of Omega3 in the US and UK. Yogurt being a great source of probiotics can combine well with the cardiovascular boosting power of EPA and DHA for improving the overall health of the consumers.
