Chocolate stimulates sexual passions, study claims

chocolates 111The ancient Aztec therapy, which is all about consuming chocolates to arouse sexuality, is now scientifically claimed in the latest publication of May’s journal of Sexual Medicine. The research reports about the presence of tryptophan and phenylethylamine the chemicals, which stimulates substances in the brain leading to aphrodisiac passions. The survey further claims that women are the ones who are most effected by the substances in the chocolates.

This study has been proven vague by other researchers who point out the fact that there is hardly any link between chocolate consumption and sexuality and if there is any such tendency it restricts itself to psychological conditions and not physiological urgings.

However, there cannot be any specific inferences until the study is carried out with the same chocolate consumed by the Aztecs. The cocoa blends in Aztec chocolates cannot be equated with the chocolates manufactured by contemporary chocolate manufacturers as the difference in the formulation makes a difference in the presence of the aphrodisiac chemicals.
