The word âChow Mienâ has a Chinese origin and indicates long, slender tubular structures made of white flour, rice powder or wheat flour that makes one of the most sought-after dishes. Conventional chow mien is, however, made of white flour only. It is so tasty that it has become one of the most popular fast foods of young generation all over the world. Chefs all over the world make chow mien in their own indigenous styles. But, the authentic Chinese cuisines always have some typical flavor and specific way of cooking. - Chow mien or noodles

Instructions:
1. Arrange for the ingredients
Before starting to make your chow mien arrange for the ingredients needed.
- Chop the onions, chilies, celery, mushrooms, broccoli, capsicum etc that will be required as a part of your cooking. Pound the beans too.
- Keep each of your chopped vegetables in separate baskets and wash them throughly in clean water by rinsing well.
- Drain the ingredients dry by allowing them to strain in a basket. If there is any speck of water left in these vegetables it will be quite disturbing while you cook it in oil.
2. Begin the preparation
The second step of cooking involves the marinating part which is vital in case of any recipe. So, proceed in this way.
- Take a tablespoon full of oyster sauce and one tablespoon of white vinegar and put it in a large bowl. Put all your vegetables in the bowl and mix them well with the sauce. Add a pinch of salt and a pinch of black pepper to the vegetables and allow marinating for about half an hour.
- Cut chicken breasts into small strips and allow them to marinate. Follow the same method and use oyster sauce and vinegar in the process.
3. Preparing the sauce of the chow mien
In a container, pour chicken broth as per your requirement. Add some salt into the broth, a tablespoon of soy sauce, a tablespoon of oyster sauce, a pinch of black pepper powder, one teaspoon of corn starch and some water. Stir all the ingredients together and heat in flame till the broth boils.
4. Fry all your ingredients
Put peanut oil in a pan and then put the chicken strips in it when it heats up. Fry the strips till they turn golden brown. Now, remove the strips and add the vegetables one by one, fry them slightly and put them aside. Remember not to fry all the vegetables together. Now, pour the chicken sauce in the frying pan and stir it continuously till it again starts boiling. As it starts boiling add the fried chicken strips and then the vegetables one by one. Put the flame of your burner at medium and cook for some time. Finally, add the noodles to this broth and cook for some more time till the noodles get boiled. When cooked, remove from flame.
5. Serve the chow mien
It is customary that you serve the chow mien when it is hot. So, put your cooked dish in a nice serving platter, add a little soy sauce and sprinkle some aginomoto over it for seasoning.
