Crabs are the summer delicacy in East India. While crabs are curried whole in East India I would give a shelled crab recipe to you for cooking convenience. The recipe is as follows:
Ingredients
Crab Meat
Tomato Puree
Chopped Onions
Garlic-Ginger Paste
Coconut Milk (enough to make a gravy)
Turmeric Powder
Chili Powder
Poppy Seeds Paste
Cashew Paste
Cinnamon Powder
Nutmeg Powder
Cardamon Powder
Salt
Method
1. In a wok heat oil and fry onions until brown. Add all the pastes, tomato puree and spices.
2. Cook the mixture until it is brown and the fat leaves the side.
3. Add crab meat and salt to the mixture and fry for sometime.
Add coconut milk and simmer for sometime.
4. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it with boiled rice.
