Harris Teeter grocery store in Cameron Village is reported to put up one of the most expensive cheese for sale. This 24 pound of Emmental Swiss cheese apparently costs $366.81 and claims to be cave-aged containing holes created by the bacteria in the ageing process.

The claims of cave controlling the temperature and hence the taste of cheese while ageing can appeal the consumers with the earthly flavors. Well the most expensive cheese is reported to be at $500 and made of moose milk.

Nevertheless, apart from the nutty flavor this top Swiss cheese has lots of crisis at the back of its holes due to foreign competition and availability of cheese with more holes at an affordable price. Therefore, the grocery store should consider once before putting Emmental up for sales at a whopping $366.
