Desamargado de Limon: Tart enough to be a dessert

ereasaDesamargado de Limon was simply refreshing and is the most unique dessert that I have posted until now in this series. This dessert is made of only those ingredients that are used to make lemonade. The main element that makes this dessert appealing is lemons and the cooking of lemons is really exciting. You have to divide the lemons in two and boil them in a covered pot of water, until they are soft enough. When they are softer, cool them and change the water and boil them again in water. Now collect the water from boiling the lemons, add sugar, cinnamon powder and boil until the sugar dissolves. Place the lemons back to the sugar syrup and boil until the syrup is thick.

Cool this mixture and serve this tingling, tart and sweet desert in dessert bowls after lunch or dinner. You know what; this reminds me of lemon pickle made in India…tart enough to be a dessert.
