Diwali sans crackers

Do we always have any specific way to celebrate any particular festival. If we do have such protocols I would like to question them. Festivals as we can view can in modern era is sheer enjoyment a healthy break from hard monotonous schedule we all go through, if we can make them a pleasure ride it would be highly beneficial for all of us. We have to think ahead of traditions, mostly traditions needs to be tweaked a bit in order to make them suit our lifestyle. why can’t we just let go of crackers during Diwali. As we all know its a festival of lights but after a lot of intensive research i have no clue what was the valid reason behind bursting Brain-damaging crackers.

The basis of the festival is to keep your environment clean, lighting up lamps(deepams), wearing new clothes to feel fresh and sharing sweets to increase bonding in society. Thee high decibel crackers are harmful in more than one ways: A sudden burst of sound may ruin our whole concentration and leave us with an unmanageable headache, the smokes n fumes are heavy n settle on the lower strata of the atmosphere increasing pollution upto 10 times the normal level, India being a big player in climate optimisation cannot afford to do so and let us not forget old people who should never be exposed to sounds more than 55 decibels. A serious awareness campaign should be started by the Govt an alternative employment opportunities be provided to those employed by these fire cracker companies. We should strive ahead and make the world a better place to live.
