Doctor House feels guilty for not being a real-life doctor

Films do tend to imitate life and nobody knows it better than British actor Hugh Laurie. Laurie, who plays cunning and irritable Dr Gregory House in the hit American medical drama House, chose acting instead of medicine which his late doctor father wanted for him.

hugh laurie1 H5ksR 40130Now the Golden globe award winning actor admitted that he feels guilty for failing to pursue his father’s dream and he feels his father would have been very disappointed with his ‘shortcuts’.

Well, somebody needs to tell Mr Laurie that if the shortcuts in life actually results into two Golden Globe awards and several Emmy nominations and not to mention millions of dollars in salary then most of us would love to try them out. But, as we all know nothing really is enough in life, the ‘Stuart Little’ actor admits that he still dreams of becoming a doctor and the reality of not being one is one of the greatest source of guilt for him.
