Egg boiled when inky!

spot softThough boiling an egg is seemingly the easiest thing for an amateur in the kitchen, but it is reported that even celebrity chefs make a mess of eggs while boiling. Guardian writes about the latest technology introduced by British Egg Information Service and developed by UK assurance scheme Lion Quality, claims that thermochromic ink logos would provide a permanent solution to this genuine cooking blunder.

Facts provide that these hi-tech ink logos stamped on the shells, available for soft, medium and hard-boiled eggs, will turn black when the eggs have reached the perfect texture inside. These by UK assurance scheme Lion Quality are set to go on sale at the second half of this year.

There is not much revelation on the working of the heat sensitive thermochromic ink, but what has been revealed is the inception of these logos. The basic reason behind this discovery was varied solutions from different chefs about checking the doneness of a boiled egg. However, the consumers and the chefs will be in a better position to master the seemingly trifle job of cooking by the time it reaches their stores stamped on eggs in two different cartons.
