Energy drink ‘high’ goes ‘low’ on life

Energy drinks have done their best with marketing ingredients that has continued to lure the consumers with either the ‘slimming’ or the ‘stamina’ factors. However, an article in the CNN elaborates the fact that these energy drinks are debunked very rarely to let the consumers realize the irony of the word ‘energy’ in the drinks.

Apparently, facts provided points that caffeine and herbal supplements in energy drinks like 180, Arizona Energy X, Energy, Sobee Adrenaline, and Red Bull have higher doses of caffeine, which has recently been the cause of 265 cases of caffeine abuse.

Facts provided in an earlier research refute the high-carb energy drinks as nothing but sugar solutions, which enter the blood stream and slows gastric emptying thereby leading to dehydration and similar is the case with caffeine after the caffeine-high is over. Where do energy-drinks stand today? Are they any better than consuming Coke?

It is high time the consumers need to understand the lurking meaning behind the excess of advertisements, which clearly alerts them against the non-scientific evidence concerning the safety of herbs and caffeine along with the absence of approval from the Federal Drug Administration.
