Facebook is back in news. And guess why – because it did not allow people to post statuses and ping on messenger for few minutes yesterday. Now while FB is back in functional terms, the fact that it was down is trending on Twitter. Wow Facebook down could well have been as important as Black Hawk Down, if tweets are to go by. While some were stuck up about it, some such as Donna @MrsDelta68 tweeted, “ Can’t believe that #facebookdown made the news, I can’t say I noticed.”
The funny men got to thinking that taking advantage of this lull in server could be wow. Rohin Mehta @iamrohin77 tweets, “If Facebook is down long enough some people might be able to get over their exs.#facebookdown.” And yes some did enter into depression mode coz they could not farm in FB. Michael Brewer @JMichaelBrewer tweets, “Facebook crashed earlier this evening, resulting in devastating crop losses in the FarmVille global economy #facebookdown.”
Those hooked on to Facebook perhaps got time to romance for a while. Otherwise, they remain stuck to their updates and posts. Aletta Jacobs @JacobsAletta funnily tweets, “Wondering if we’ll see a peak in number of babies being born in 9 months.” Now that’s naughty. The diciness of having an active virtual social life reflects here. Sir Ravindra Jadeja @SirJadeja tweets, “Just spent some time with family members #WhenFacebookWasDown. They seem to be a nice people. #facebookdown.”
Jacqueline Wilson @WritRams tweets, “This cracked me up RT @theSauce #Facebook crash forces public to resort to traditional stalking methods #facebookdown.” This indeed make us think why is it so essential to remain so hooked on FB always? Are we getting mad? Amy Wilson @AmyWilson235 rightly tweeted, “Facebook was down for like 5 minutes, and #facebookdown started trending. People are paranoid.”
