Following the invention of Body Sushi or Nyotaimori, the weirdest food fetish that Japan has come-up with is reportedly cutting open a body made of edible ingredients and eating whatever is stored inside the body. Facts do not provide what kind of edible food this obsession stores, except for the association of this kind of food art with cannibalism.
However, Boing Boing associates it to Vorarephilia, where the consumption is based on eating a person or creature stored inside another creature.
Doubtless, Turducken would have been a saner option, but this sort of food creation does not add anything to culinary innovation. While body sushi can occupy a subtle position in culinary innovation, such creations can only be related to extreme form of human hunger in case of a food famine. Whatever said an done, even Halloween creations might hold a place for this stuffed-cadaver.
