Labeling policies of food manufacturers in Ireland are reported to undergo a complete transformation following the implementation of new labeling laws passed by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland. The law states that any food manufacturer who in the garb of health claims tries to hide lurking salt, sugar and fats on his product labels will have to face a complete ban on the product.

Doubtless, of the fact that Irish food control systems have been up and alert towards health concerns like the salt wars and Trans fat concerns. Well the USDA who does lot of propoganda about nutritional intakes should take a lesson or two from Food Safety Authority of Ireland.

Even this time Irish diners will have something good out of revised nutritional guidelines. However, as far as food manufacturers are concerned, they really are not left with any other option of faux-marketing, so they had better get transparent with their nutritional labels for saving their backs.
