Every time a person from the North-East India grabs a headline in National/ International news, I feel on the top of the world. One reason to this could be my roots in North East which for decades has just been witnessing terror, giving the world at large and India in particular, an opportunity to point fingers towards anyone belonging to North-East.
One such disturbed state is Nagaland and Dimapur happens to be the one of the towns of the state which is better known for its socio-economic culture.
Recently Carol Humtsoe, the model who hails from Dimapur was in the news for successfully signing a contract with Elite Model Management. That should speak for itself because every girl aspiring to be a top notch model dreams of being a part of Elite Model Management which has produced super models like Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Ujjwala Raut, Gisele Bunchen, to name a few.
The story behind Carol’s assignment with the agency is in itself an interesting one.
“I sent my portfolio and the next day I got a call saying they wanted to meet me and guess what, I got the contract there and then without any doubt. I signed and started working for Elite from the next day. They are very fond of me and I am loving every part of it; I feel really blessed”
she asserted.
To her credit she succeeded in bagging few of the world’s best known brands such as Benetton, Gucci and has also done few shows for NDTV Good Times.
Going by her achievements at such an early age, sky seems to be the limit for this bubbly girl with immense grit who has gone a step further by becoming a role model for the upcoming models of North East.
