A recent frozen pizza launched by Comfy Cuisine claims to be gluten and sugar free meant for those suffering from Diabetes Mellitus and other Celiac diseases. The frozen come in different and varied flavors Cheese Manicotti, Vegetable Lasagna, Spinach Ravioli, and Eggplant Parmesan. The frozen pizzas will be sold at the whole foods store in the East Coast.
The company is not the first one to roll out gluten free products, but as more and more companies are rolling out organic and whole grain pastas and pizzas, it is a good attempt by the Comfy cuisine to roll out gluten free products.
As per executive pastry chef John Muscarello, founder and President of Comfy Cuisine:
I never expected this to become my full time profession, but after winning three People’s Choice Awards at National Conventions; this only confirmed my beliefs that I had an outstanding product that was in great demand.
Yea the product got to be in demand as all the celiac patients and diabetic patients and can enjoy specialty foods.
