Hot Bok Choy and Shrimp Curry

bok choy and shrimps 7Yesterday we learnt about cooking snow peas, today let us do something with Bok Choy. I remember on my introductory feature on Bok Choy, had talked about its mild flavor, which comes out to its fullest when sauteed. Today is another recipe which will teach you how to cook it with shrimps and carrots. Here is the recipe:

Ingredients

Chopped Bok Choy
Sliced Carrots
Jalapeno Peppers
Deveined and shelled Shrimps
White Wine Vinegar
Crushed Garlic
Chopped Shallots
Black Pepper
Chicken Stock
Cornflour
Soy Sauce
Salt
Olive Oil

Method

1. In a wok heat oil and fry shallots and garlic. Fry until shallots are transluscent.

2. To it add bok choy, carrots, salt, jalapeno peppers and black peppers.

3. Cook the veggies until tender add shrimps, vinegar and soy sauce; and cook for 5 minutes.

4. Mix chicken stock and cornflour in a separate bowl. Add it to the wok and cook covered on a low flame, for 15 minutes.

5. Serve it with pasta or rice noodles.
