The following guide will tell you the tricks of making French toast in minutes.

Complexity Level: Basic

Time Required: 5-10 minutes

Resources Required:

1. Three eggs

2. 8 small pieces of bread

3. ½ cup of milk

4. ¼ teaspoon of salt

5. ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon sugar

6. Freshly grated nutmeg about ¼ teaspoon

7. A few tablespoons of butter for the pan

8. 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)

Instructions:

1. Heat a skillet to melt the butter

Start with collecting all the ingredients. Heat a pan on medium flame and melt about 1 to 2 tablespoons of butter in it

2. Beat the ingredients in a bowl

Use a bowl that is a little bigger than the size of the bread. Add the eggs to the bowl and beat them properly. Add the milk and other ingredients including the salt and cinnamon sugar and mix them well. The plate for the slices needs to be kept ready.

3. Dipping the slices into the mixture

When you add the slice into the mixture let it be into the mixture for about a minute and then flip the slice of the bread to harden and deepen its density. The more wet your bread is the more mixture it absorbs. Hold plate under the slice as you remove it from the mixture.

4. Adding the slices to the ready pan

In the first step, you kept a pan ready on medium flame. After you dip and keep about 3 slices of bread ready, you need to then put them on the hot pan that accommodates 3 slices of bread. It will take about 2 to 3 minutes for each part of the slices to be cooked. However, you need to keep a watch and flip the sides of the bread once they are nicely brown.

5. Keep the other set of breads ready

While you cook one set of slices, keep the other set soaked and ready to be put into the pan. Keep repeating the procedure till all the slices are cooked. Serve it hot.
