Complexity Level: Basic

Time Required: 2-5 minutes

Estimated Cost: 2$ to 4$

Resources Required:

1. Lemons
2. Sugar
3. Container
4. Water
5. Salt (optional)
6. Vessel
7. Ice cubes(optional)
8. Knife

Instructions:

1. Do the lemons:
Select nice, big, juicy lemons for your drink. Selecting those with thicker skins is a better option. Make sure you cut the lemon horizontally, not vertically. Vertical cutting of lemon will not let you squeeze the juice out of it. Keep aside. You can add a pinch of salt if you want.

2. Do the sugar:
You can either add plain sugar or castor sugar to the water of your juice, or you can also make some maple or sugar syrup. The advantage is that syrup will dissolve and get mixed quickly in water than the crystals of sugar do. To make the sugar syrup, boil water in a pan and then add sugar to it, keep stirring for about 5 minutes. Then allow it to cool. After cooling down, the sugar syrup will thicken on its own.

3. Mix ingredients:
Now in a jug, add water, sugar syrup along with the squeezed lemon juice. Note that for every 1 glass of water you should use the juice of 2 lemons. And the sugar syrup ratio should be 3/4th sugar and 1/4th water.

4. Decorate your drink!:
The chilled lemonade will now be decorated while serving in tall glasses. Pu the juice, add the ice cubes or crushed ice, Slice a round piece of lemon and place on the rim of your glass. You can also place a big, fresh, green piece of mint in every glass on the top. Enjoy!!
