If KFC changes oil, can McDonalds be far behind?

If KFC comes running with an oil change can McDonalds be far behind. McDonalds is reported to change to a trans fat free oil in 740 Australian outlets by the end of this month. Facts provided by McDonalds claims to give up canola oil for canola and sunflower blend, which apparently contains less than 1 percent of trans fats.

It is not for the first time that McDonalds has been co-operative, but is taking enough attempts to raise calories and giving more salad offerings and now with the introduction of Trans fat free oil in Australia 50 percent of the problem will be solved. However the oil change needs to be taken over by outlets in America and UK for perking-up the overall reputation of McDonalds.

McDonalds need to check the impact of the combination of canola and sunflower on flavor, texture and sustainability of foodstuffs. As far as the problem with cheese, sauces and sodium is concerned, it will be solved with the labeling system, for the consumer to choose as per calories.
