Indian batsmen are known to break numerous records in the game of cricket. The names of Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar and Rahul Dravid feature on top of several world record lists. However, despite of such great batting feats, there are some Indian players who have made their mark in the list of most number of ducks in international cricket. Number of ducks in Test: 25

Number of ducks in ODIs: 15

Zaheer Khan tops the list of Indian cricketers with most number of ducks in the Test format. His 25 ducks in 113 innings will haunt the cricketer for sometime. Unfortunately for him, he finds himself in the ODI list as well with 15 ducks in 100 innings. However, what will comfort the left-armer is that he still has managed to score 3 half-centuries in Test cricket.

Sachin Tendulkar

Number of ducks in Test: 14

Number of ducks in ODIs: 20

He is India’s premium batsman with a recent credit of scoring 100 centuries in International cricket. However, shocking for some of his fans, Sachin Tendulkar tops the list of most number of ducks by an Indian in the ODI format. With a total of 20 ducks in 452 innings, Sachin would surely smile at this record as well.

Kapil Dev

Number of ducks in Test: 16

Number of ducks in ODIs: 13

India’s legendary all-rounder, Kapil Dev will be remembered for a dream journey where he and his men bagged the nation its first World Cup in 1983. Despite his impressive Test and ODI record, the former skipper has a few ducks to his credit in both formats of the game.

Harbhajan Singh

Number of ducks in Test: 18

Number of ducks in ODIs: 15

The off-spinner, who is known to have a reputation of hitting those big shots at the end of an innings, has to his credit a total of 18 Test ducks in 138 innings. His ODI record too speaks of 15 ducks in 123 innings. However, for a man who did not gain much appreciation for his batting initially, has managed to score 2 Test centuries.

Anil Kumble

Number of ducks in Test: 17

Number of ducks in ODIs: 18

Jumbo as he is fondly known, will always be remembered for his 10 wickets in an innings against Pakistan. Though he has the credit of 1 Test century towards his name, Anil Kumble’s 17 Test ducks in 173 innings will not make him happy. In the ODI format, he has the credit of scoring 18 ducks in 136 innings.

BS Chandrasekhar

Number of ducks in Test: 23

Though he played only one ODI in his career, BS Chandrasekhar has the credit of scoring the second most number of ducks in the Test format after Zaheer Khan. The famous bowler of the golden era has scored 23 ducks in 80 innings.
