Kulfi: Indian Ice Cream

kulfiHomemade icecreams give you full scope to freak out with a wide variety of flavors…but I am quite Indian with my choice of Ice Cream and here is the recipe of how we freeze our ice cream in India.

Ingredients

Milk
Cream
Sugar
Pistachios
Ice
Salt

Method

1. Boil milk with sugar and pistachios, until the milk is thick.

2. Add cream and blend well.

3. Place the mixture in a vessel filled with ice-cold water until it cools down.

4. After the mixture cools down, fill the mixture in aluminium tins and close it with a tight-fitting lids.

5. Place these tins in big clay pots filled with salt and ice mixture.

6. Check after a couple hours, if the mixture has not solidified then replace the salt and mixture and set it to freeze again.

Note:- You can use your favorite flavor in place of pistachios.
