Majarete is a classic in the Dominican cooking, this is basically a cornmeal pudding and the main base of this dessert is corn cob or maize flour and coconut milk. The pudding is usually made during the Christmas season.
This is made by blending corns, half cup sugar, a teaspoonful vanilla, cinnamon sticks, coconut milk and water. The mixture is strained, boiled, cooled, and garnished with cinnamon powder and set in a beautiful ice-cream bowl to give you an entirely different pudding flavor, which is creamy and soupy taste, except for the addition of sugar and coconut milk.
