McDonalds to bait consumers with non-carbonated beverage options

McDonalds is reportedly adding non-carbonated Pepsi drinks in most of its outlets in the New York City. Though there are claims by the fast food giant that Pepsi is not sold as a fountain drink, yet fact remains that even as a ‘served on order’ beverage, Pepsi is served in McDonalds to draw in more consumers.

The move to serve a variety of non-carbonated beverage might not silence the food police, but it might expand its healthier options for consumers, with non-carbonated beverages sans the Trans fats junk food section.

Moreover, McDonalds has better options in fruit juice rather than non-carbonated beverages to fetch consumers in the outlets. Efforts of McDonalds to lure consumers with non-carbonated beverage might not be very profitable, unless the fast food giant backs it with a trans-fat free menu with a good flavor and nutritional profile.
