Mozart Sculptured: The world’s most expensive Valentine chocolate

mozart sculptureThe most exotic piece of chocolate art is on display in Tokyo at the Tokyo department store and it will be there until the Valentine’s Day. This chocolate is carved out to feature Mozart’s Turkischer Marsch, as a sign of honor on the composer’s 250th birthday. To stud the star Jeong Hong Yeon, the chief patissier of Rhiga Royal Hotel and the sculptor of this statue placed 107 diamonds, worth $5mn. The shoes in Mozart’s statue were carved out of white chocolates by Shinji Kitanaga an ice sculptor, who had to bake the unsweetened chocolate to keep it from melting.

Can you imagine what the buyer of the statue will have to pay on top of the $5mn studdings? You can safely bet on the chocolate sculpture stands as the most expensive one among the 60 chocolatiers who had put up their stall for Valentine.
