Mutton in pickled gravy aka Achari Korma

We have just seen the benefits of marination in the last post. Why not try to be a bit more creative with the marinades in today’s recipe?

The recipe is as follows:

Ingredients

Mutton
Ginger Root
Dry Garlic Powder
Yogurt
Tomato Pickle
Cinnamon Powder
Nutmeg Powder
Red Chili Powder
Sliced Onions
Salt

Method

1. Marinade overnight mutton mixed with yogurt, crushed ginger root, garlic powder, red chili powder, tomato pickle, cinnamon powder and nutmeg powder.

2. In a pressure cooker fry onions until brown. Add marinated mutton and cook covered until the juices are evaporated.

3. Add salt and a bit more yogurt and tomato pickle.

4. Add water cook and pressure cook for 10 minutes or until mutton is tender.
