Nestle and Hershey offer consumers a calorie-controlled bite

satixxA special feature in CNN reports about the portion control in candies as featured in the All Candy Expo, a major candy trade show in Chicago, on Tuesday. CNN lists out the names of famous chocolate makers like, Hershey Co., Nestle and Simply Lite Foods Corp’s Sunkist Chews, who have rolled out 100 calorie and sugar-free, chocolate bars in stick versions or controlled portions to attract more consumers to their products.

From kisses to just a touch of calorie and from crunch to chipping off fats he chocolate makers are doing their best to market their products with a health angle to stay in the competition. Facts provide that 90-calorie Stixx in Butterfinger and milk chocolate and dark chocolate Crunch flavors have raised in demand since their launch in America earlier this year.

What is interesting is that controlling portions is actually creating room for the manufacturers to reduce their cost of production, experimenting with more flavors and giving the consumers a calorie-controlled bite.
