Nestle tops bottled-water category with plain ‘content’ and ‘neat’ label

aquapodWater having topped the beverage charts this summer is being making convincing entries into the market with different flavor labels. The latest manifestation in bottled water category as reported by Washington Post is Aquapod, bottled by Nestl’ Waters North America, claiming to hold 11 ounces of unflavored and natural spring water, minus the fluoride.

Facts provide that Nestle had been number one in the category of bottled water. Perhaps parents have found that Nestle’s Aquapod is pure and clean with content and marketing in the midst of Fiji Water’s new Lil’Fijis and Dannon’s Spring all decked up with gift hampers and backed by celebrity campaigns.

Sold in eight-packs at Wal-Mart, Target and some Safeway stores, Aquapod has managed appeal the parents and children by going plain and simple. However, it might have seemed a risky venture but Nestle had it without Disney and Nickelodeon characters on its label, pointing out only those characteristics that make, drinking water from the Aquapod bottle a mess-free and convenient affair. This just indicates that even kids want their water neat, irrespective of ‘school lunchbox demands’.
