Pilgrim’s Pride, one of America’s most reputed chicken companies is reported to launch world’s first EatWellStayHealthy Kids Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets and Breaded Popcorn Chicken, in 900 Publix Super Markets in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee next month. Facts provided claim that EatWellStayHealthy is the first product line for kids to have got the certification as ‘healthy’ on the packaging from USDA, a ‘heart check-mark’ seal from the American Heart Association (AHA) and an approval from the Child Nutrition Labeling.

Inspite of all the certification what might strike a food cop is the presence of preservatives, 350mg of sodium and additives. However, the lower cholesterol and trans-fat free claims can motivate American parents to a certain extent to keep their kids from calorific chicken nuggets. But what matters here is the decision of parents to treat their kids with homemade, succulent and farm fresh chicken or packaged meat, which is a little better than what lures the kids at McDonalds, KFC or Wendy’s.
