Nutriose to drive ‘concentrates’ in the sugar-free zone

fruit passionIt is very easy to set claims about delivering better flavors with sugar-free syrups, but most of the times the claims fall flat and consumers are disappointed. However, Routin, the second largest French syrup producer reports about the introduction of a sugar-free fruit syrup called as Fruiss, manufactured from Roquette’s Nutriose FB06. Facts provide that Nutriose not only overcomes the challenge of mouth feel and gooeyness required in fruit syrup, but also adds fibers to the syrup. To quote Briois:

Nutriose is a great solution for sugar free, light or ‘healthy’ drinks. Moreover, it adds fibre, has an extended energy release, a low glycaemic response and outstanding digestive tolerance. Being a soluble fibre, it easily enriches drinks, and this fibre content lasts until the end of the shelf life.

This move by the France-based Roquette will take the trend of concentrates towards a promising and healthy direction and the final end consumers will be able to finally tasteful sugar-free syrups in an array of food products.
