Facts provided by the report points out that the hospitals are not only providing organic foods to their patients, but have also built space for onsite farmers market, hired chefs and chucked out all the trans fats and additives from the menu to provide healthy foods.
Hospitals are doing their obvious role in the period of a nutritional crisis in America and serving fresh fruit smoothies, wild salmon, antioxidant-rich fruits in other foods, lean bison and even favorites like pasta primavera all made with whole grains and fresh vegetables.
The American diners are left with little excuse not to eat organic, farm-fresh and above all healthy and flavorful foods, for the very reason that they are ethically driven by hospitals to spend their bucks on an organic lunch rather than on a bag of fast foods or supermarket’s ready-made meals.
