Poaching Salmon in a Dishwasher!

Poaching salmon in a dishwasher, without any relative association could be the weirdest cooking techniques that a chef can ever come across. Bob Blumer of the WineX Magazine has apparently caught up with the innovation in his laboratory, which he reportedly employed for multi-tasking with cooking being one of the tasks. Facts provide the following elements of poaching the salmon in a dishwasher:

1. Tightly wrapping a fully seasoned salmon in a silver foil.

2. Placing the wrapped salmon fillets in the top rack of the dishwasher.

3. Set dishwasher to the ‘normal’ cycle.

4. Let the salmon run the complete cycle of wash and dry

5. On completion of the cycle, remove the foils and serve the fillets with a dill sauce.

Though we cannot attach poaching disciplines to it, yet if you measure it by the standards of a good poached salmon it will not be disappointing. By the dishwasher innovation poaching takes place in mild temperature, as the fillets are wrapped in a foil, salmon secures its own juices while being poached and above all it gets poached in some seconds.

However, what stands dubious is the necessity of allowing the poaching go through a complete cycle in dishwasher, as a complete drying method might make it devoid of the natural flavors of the salmon. Nevertheless, the innovation caught the fancy of Blumer and doubtless of the fact that he has overall done a good job, by turning his dishwasher into a kitchen appliance.
