Some proponents of Foie Gras ban call for repeal

foie grasThe Foie Gras ordinance passed by the City Council to ban Foie Gras consumption in Chicago is reported to have taken a twist, followed by the demands of two council members to abolish the ordinance.

Facts provide that Ald. Bernard Stone and Burton Natarus have withdrawn from the ordinance, evaluating the impact of latter in leading Chicago to be a laughing stock across the US. The repeal has also pointed out fiscal deterioration along with deterioration of Chicago’s status across culinary and political set-up in the nation.

Better late than never! A fraction of City Council has risen up, but what astonishes me here is how somebody can be a part of a Foie Gras ban in the primary stage, being an ardent fan of the delicacy.

However, what matters is the restoration of Foie Gras back to the restaurants in Chicago, before few other alderman rise-up to calculate the extent of the damage done to the supposedly revenue generating Foie Gras delicacy, along with proving to be a poor figure in leaving other environmental challenges and settling with regulating the eating choices of diners.
