RELIANCE POWER EXTENDS ITS EMPIRE

Indian government has decided to start ten major power projects all over the country by joining hands with private sector .
of these ,the first two are sasan and mundhra projects which were taken over by RELIANCE POWER LIMITED and TATA POWER LIMITED respectively.As the third project,Indian government had invited tender from private companies for krishnampattinam project.
anil ambani 8075 Many companies such as Anil Ambani’s Reliance power limited,Larsen And Turbo limted and Sterlite industries were in race.At last, Reliance had quoted the lowest rate of Rs.2.33/unit and got the project.Already the company had signed 2 agreements with Government on large power production.Now Krishnampattinam project is being its third .Because of this ,Reliance power is arising as the Largest private industry of India in power production.
To take over this project,PFC is investing Rs.17000 crores.This project makes use of imported coal.So PFC is trying to import coal from Australia and Indonesia.
“PFC will import nearly 1.4 crore ton coal every year. They will be imported on the basis of longterm agreements”
said Mr.J.P.salasani,one of the directors of Reliance energy limited.
