An announcement in the Farmers Weekly talks about the recent projection of the Styles Farm near Minehead into the production of low fat ice cream made from low fat sheep’s milk and hence named as ‘Slim Ewe‘. From the responses of the launch published in the report we can know that it conforms to the hopes of owner David Baker to raise the sales of 750,000 litres of ice cream every year.
As far as the taste is concerned Baker claims that consumers get a fuller flavor in the absence of fats. As per Baker:
Anything described as ‘low fat’ has a tendency to trigger an automatic response in people’s brains: They think it’s also going to be low on flavour, but in fact, not adding fat actually allows even more of the flavour to come through.
Well, if it clicks the Kiosks, who buy ice cream from Styles, are the ones who will profit from it and definitely it would be the first functional ice cream ever produced.
