Tampico, the leading manufacturer of functional beverages reports about launching a new juice, fortified with vitamins and calcium, containing about half the sugar in comparison to regular juice drinks. Tampico Plus, as it is called, is value added with Vitamin A, C and E to give you an added effect of good vision, strong bones and youthful skin. There is also good news for those who are lactose intolerant as the drink claims to give 25% of the RDA of vitamin D, the same as in a glass of milk and 10% of the RDA of calcium, in its 8 oz serving.
Though the flavor profile does not cater to the gourmet choice of blended fruits, but the claims of a nutrient benefits from those flavors is what a consumer can count upon. However, with many sugar-free drinks on the grocery shelves, this fortified drink may get a good competition.
